An evening of gratitude to the generous individuals who make a difference in the lives of people with special needs.

Manalapan, NJ, August 24th, 2018 – On August 23, 2018, Friendship Circle of Central Jersey celebrated its First Annual Sponsor Appreciation Event with a spectacular sunset cruise and fireworks. Friendship Circle provides individuals with special needs unique social and educational experiences by enlisting committed young volunteers. The event, which took place on the Golden Eagle cruise ship of Belmar, was attended by over 90 engaged citizens celebrating both corporate sponsors and volunteers for their dedication in bettering the lives of children with special needs and their families.

“We are very proud to acknowledge and celebrate our sponsors,” said Chana’le Wolosow, director of Friendship Circle, “as we look back on our achievements over the past 17 years, we recognize that these achievements have been made possible through outstanding acts of kindness and commitment from our sponsors.”  The event was spearheaded by ColoGuard Enterprise Solutions, Bright Zebra Art Studio, NetCost Market and NetEmbark. Founders of these companies are dedicated to the success of Friendship Circle and stand behind their plan to build a state-of-the-art Friendship Village in Marlboro, NJ in 2019. “Our community is coming together to achieve an oasis of inclusion and acceptance, which, in turn, will positively impact everyone who comes through the doors of Friendship Circle of Central Jersey.”  believes Ruben Magurdumov, VP of Operations of ColoGuard Enterprise Solutions.

The event was a true success: engaging, fun and inspiring. Guests were inspired by the heartfelt words from a parent of a participant, a parent of a volunteer, and a alumni volunteer all sharing how Friendship Circle has shaped and enriched their lives. Attendees enjoyed cocktails and refreshments, mingled and laughed. The night ended with a spectacular fireworks show, leaving guests with a feeling of awe and inspiration.

About Friendship Circle

The Friendship Circle launched in Central Jersey in 2001 with a simple mission: to provide individuals with special needs with social and educational experiences they would otherwise not have. It is the Circle’s goal to bring greater awareness and understanding to the community of both the unique gifts and the unique desires of individuals with special needs, and encourage respect and empathy for those facing these difficult challenges. At the heart of all the Friendship Circle’s programming is the belief that each and every individual can be a productive member of the community and benefit from the social support offered by one’s peers. We envision a world in which individuals with special needs and their families experience acceptance, inclusion, and friendship as valued members of society.
